Raised in Mahopac, New York, Timothy developed a strong sense of responsibility and community from an early age. He graduated from Mahopac High School before attending the New York City College of Technology, where he studied from 2002 to 2006. Driven by a desire to serve, he later completed his training at the Westchester County Police Academy and joined the Yorktown Police Department in 2008.
Throughout his law enforcement career, Timothy earned a reputation for professionalism, leadership, and dedication. Over more than 16 years with the Yorktown Police Department, he progressed through the ranks from police officer to sergeant and ultimately lieutenant, reflecting his consistent commitment to excellence and leadership. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2016 and to Lieutenant in 2023, milestones that recognized his experience and service to the department.
During his tenure, Timothy received numerous commendations, awards, and departmental recognitions for his performance in the line of duty. Among these was the Meritorious Police Duty Award, presented for his actions during a burglary investigation early in his career. His record of service includes multiple promotions and commendations that highlight his dedication to protecting the Yorktown community.
Alongside his law enforcement career, Timothy remained actively involved in Raymond Opticians, balancing public service with entrepreneurship. As a licensed optician since 2006 and part owner of the family business, he has continued the tradition established by his father while helping expand the company’s presence and reputation for quality eye care.
Outside of his professional life, Timothy’s greatest priority is his family. He enjoys spending time with his two sons, Brantley and Nixon Kolkmann, and values the opportunity to create lasting memories with them. His career reflects a lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and maintaining the values of a family-owned business while making a positive impact in his community.
